I think this is one of the toughest general elections in the UK to decide who to vote for in years. There seem to be fewer than ever positive reasons for voting for a party and many reasons why not to vote for them. I suspect that voter apathy will be at record levels and the turnout will be low.
Until today I hadn't ruled out voting for Cameron and the Conservatives. I do think the country needs a change and the Conservatives on the face of it have done a reasonable job of much needed reform. Doubts remain that they have papered over the cracks to make themselves acceptable to the electorate and that Cameron is a good PR merchant but someone with little substance.
The latter was confirmed today for me in an interview by Gay Times magazine, filmed and reported by Channel 4. He comes across as shifty, badly prepared and not credible. This has changed my perceptions of him to a man who can't be trusted.
Enjoy the clip.
